It Is 3 a.m. Again. This Is Perimenopause.

You are awake. Not restlessly. Fully, uselessly awake, with a body that will not power down. Some nights you cannot fall asleep at all. Some nights you drop off fine and surface at 3 a.m. as though someone flipped a switch. Some nights you wake soaked and have to change your shirt. You have tried the earlier bedtime, the magnesium, the blackout curtains, no phone after nine. You have been doing this for months. Maybe years. Then the alarm goes off, and you go to work and function anyway.
